Code Text Amendment
What is a Code Text Amendment?
A code text amendment is a procedure that changes the written provisions of the ordinances contained in the Spokane Valley Municipal Code (SVMC). From time to time, provisions of the code may need to be updated or changed in order better serve the needs of the City and its citizens. In most cases, the City is the initiator of this process, but occasionally a property owner, citizen, agency, neighborhood association, or other party initiates the process. City Council makes the final decision for code text amendments by passing an ordinance amending the Code.
