New street lights are based on one of the following criteria:

• Intersection of two arterial roadways
• Location with high night time crashes
• Traffic safety due to sharp curve;
  

If a street light does not meet any of the above criteria a citizen may request the utility company to install one. The citizen is responsible for paying the utility bill.
